(left to right, Barbara Goodsitt, Kath Frajbis,Vickie Peterson-Michalak and Barbara Anderson)

We had a great turn out at the first "Art That Is Local" show at Whole Foods on Washtenaw Ave. Vickie Peterson-Michalak organized this with Mary Ann from Whole Foods. They supplied us with endless trays of delicious roll-ups, chips, dips, desserts and Italian Sodas. Thank you to Whole Foods and our friends.

Ann Arbor Women Artists
has a new non-juried exhibition site at Whole Foods Market
3135 Washtenaw Ave in Ann Arbor.

Our first show runs July 14 - Oct 7
Whole Foods is sponsoring a reception for this group show

I am very pleased to have some colored pencil pieces in this first show!

Hey Barb, I assume these pieces are going to be in the show at WholeFoods? Very cool. Who is handling this new venue? And who all is going to be in this first showing?

Hi Dee,
Vickie Peterson-Michalak is handling this new venue. Like Curves, this is a non juried site and the coordinator has all the info. Sweetwaters is handled more by the artists as a "group" effort. I will have about 5 pieces.

Hi Barb-
Hey, great venue! My son and I may be leaving for up north on the 5th, but if not I will be there!

Hi Lynda,
The show is upstairs, there is an elevator in the back. The other AAWA artists are print-makers, a sculptor and watercolor artist. I like their work a lot too.
There are also some whole food team members who display their art in a separate section. It is a very eclectic show up until October. Have fun "up north".
